About This Spot

Step inside Andy’s Brewhouse Micropub, and you’re immediately embraced by a quietly inviting atmosphere that feels thoughtfully lived-in. Nestled on Boundary Road in Sutton Coldfield, this snug neighborhood bar moves at a gentle, unrushed pace — the sort of place where regulars settle into familiar corners and new visitors find a reassuring welcome. The warmth here is tangible: soft lighting, modest wood accents, and a buzz of easy conversation that never quite rises above a comfortable hum.

At Andy’s, the focus isn’t just on pouring drinks but on creating a relaxed space where people can connect — whether they’ve brought along a four-legged friend or their little ones, this is an environment designed to feel accessible and inclusive. The spirit behind the bar matches the genuine hospitality felt throughout the room, with attentive staff who make you feel valued without fanfare.

The beverage selection mirrors the pub’s intimate charm. A carefully curated range of real ales and craft beers takes center stage, offering rich Irish stout alongside crisp lagers and refreshing ciders, some even with zero alcohol options. It’s less about an overwhelming menu and more about thoughtful choices that invite you to savor each sip at your own pace. Pairing works are thoughtfully considered too, with bar snacks and sandwiches that complement the drinks without distracting from the easygoing vibe.

Andy’s Brewhouse feels like a true local treasure, a rare spot where good-quality brews meet a sense of belonging. Its subtle charm reveals itself in the little moments — a shared smile with the bar staff, a cozy nook found by chance, a favorite ale waiting to be discovered. In a town full of spots trying to dazzle, Andy’s invites you instead to pause, observe, and quietly unwind.

Have visited twice since it's reopening under new ownership. A very friendly local micro with pleasant staff and a good real ale range with 4 varying ales at anyone time served in great condition. Highly recommend.

Tracey is always INCREDIBLE! Knowledgable, friendly, professional, just amazing. Love her so much. If she was the total manager she would make the micropub a small fortune. So listen to this Andy’s ales… you have one of the very best. Look after her!
